Barb Kittell is a photographer living in Chester, Illinois, which is located on the Mississippi River, south of St. Louis, Missouri.
A retired 30 year employee of the United States Department of Agriculture, she now does volunteer work, bakes, gardens and takes lots of photos. Her love of gardening is incorporated into her photography. Flowers and plants, usually her own, are used prolifically in her photography.
After retiring, she moved from central Illinois to southern Illinois. There she joined her husband, Keith, and daughter, Katie, who both were employed in the Chester area. Now living in Randolph County, with its many historical Illinois sites, and in Chester, which is on the Mississippi River, she now has a whole new world to photograph.
Her other favorite photography subject is the family pet, DS, a former indoor-outdoor cat that is now exclusively an indoor cat. DS has provided many wonderful outdoor and garden photographs before being forced to stay indoors. He now can do only interior shots!
